SAXOFOONLES & IMPROVISATIELES In mijn Saxofoonlessen zal je via een spelende en improviserende weg je muzikale rugzak vullen met vaardigheden die je nodig hebt om saxofoon te spelen en ontdekken. Spelen en improviseren op de saxofoon is niet gebonden aan een bepaalde stijl muziek, en de saxofoon is dan ook vrijwel in elk genre terug te vinden.     Mijn saxofoonlessen zijn voor iedereen, voor de beginner maar ook voor de gevorderde speler.  Samen bepalen we een plan van aanpak waarbij het ontdekken van muziek en de saxofoon, beheersing van je instrument en geluid centraal staat. Voor mij als docent is het heel fijn om te weten wat jij wilt en eventueel ook al kunt, zodat we tijdens de saxofoonles gericht kunnen werken aan je doelen en bezig kunnen zijn met waar het echt om gaat, muziek maken!   IMPROVISATIELES, improviseren kun je leren! Speel je al een tijdje saxofoon maar wil het improviseren nog niet goed lukken? In mijn improvisatielessen maak ik je wegwijs in de kunst van het improviseren. Aan de hand van speelstukken die ik veelal op piano begeleid, zal je spelenderwijs de mogelijkheden gaan ontdekken die je vrijheid geven en je melodische en harmonische inzicht zullen vergroten. Het opbouwen van deze vaardigheden worden ondersteund door studiemateriaal die deze auditieve manier van leren zal ondersteunen. Samen maken we een plan dat aansluit bij jou wensen en tempo. * Deze improvisatielessen zijn niet uitsluitend bedoeld voor saxofoon, ook voor andere instrumenten is deze les vorm de manier om vrijer te raken op je instrument. De laatste tijd ligt zijn focus vooral op Azië en dan met name Japan. Met zijn Japanse band, Joris Posthumus Group bracht hij in 2016 het album Tokyo’s Bad Boys uit, een album opgenomen in Japan met muzikanten waar Joris tijdens eerdere tours in Japan mee samen heeft gewerkt. Een uitgebreide tour door Japan volgde en in 2017 speelde hij met deze groep een club tour door Nederland en België, waren te gast in het tv-programma DWDD en werden later dat jaar uitgenodigd om te komen spelen op het NSJ Festival. Na het afronden van een voortraject van concerten in Japan in 2018 is Joris in februari 2020 na een korte try-out tour in Japan de studio in gedoken voor het opnemen van een 2de album.
